Andrew DiGiandomenico is a diverse guitarist and educator. A native of the Philadelphia area, Andrew has established a reputation as a seasoned professional known for his severe dedication and passionate commitment to musical and artistic excellence. Performing in venues as diverse as the World Café Live, Warmdaddy’s blues club, and Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the performing arts, Andrew has been proving his musical prowess for well over a decade. His versatile musicality renders him equally fluent in styles such as classical, blues, rock, jazz, folk and more. DiGiandomenico is also well-versed in performance practice studies and historical musicology which serves to enlighten his technically fluent, musically inspired interpretations. Receiving praise from several notable musicians including Allen Krantz and Tom Giacabetti, Andrew has forged a style that is at once passionate yet sensitive, intellectual yet emotionally poignant. Andrew is especially recognized for his unique ability to reach listeners on an emotional level, which enables him to create intimate relationships with audiences both small and large.
In addition to his commitment to the performing arts, Andrew is also a devoted music educator who firmly believes in exposing students to the virtues of artistic and creative study. His central philosophy as an educator lies in his belief that through patient and diligent study of the arts, students will gain insight both into the historical and contemporary vernacular. In responding to the uniqueness of each individual student, Andrew is a perceptive teacher who is capable of attaining success from students of all backgrounds. Andrew is currently completing his Bachelor’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance and Music Education where he is studying under Allen Krantz.
